ME

First off, I will start with my name. My name is Danielle. I was born in Portland, Or. Raise in both Centeral Oregon, and Salem. Six months after I turned 18, I joined the United States Navy. My boot camp and basic schooling was in Great Lakes, Il. I was there from the coldest months to the hottest. After graduating Interior Communication Electrician's school, I had nine days to come home and visit my family. By then, I was already a different person, then when I left.

After my visit home, I went down to San Diego for more school, before I could be on my ship. I went to a phone systems school. After schooling was all done, I was able to go to my first ship. USS Essex. We were homeported in San Diego, CA until June of 2000 when we did a hull swap with another ship. Then I was homeported in Sasebo, Japan til Oct, 2002. My next duty station was Guam. I was onboard the USS Fank Cable. It was very interesting, going from a amphib and workin in engineering, to workin on a sub tender and workin on submarines. I was stationed on the Frank Cable from Nov, 2002 til Sept, 2004. After leavin the Cable, I was sent to San Diego to do my possessing out. I have been home for a little over two years now.

Friendship

Friends are lifes little mystery, and lifes joy that come at unexpected, but at much needed time.
They are the ones that we run to when we need atvice, or need a shoulder to cry on. They are the ones that we tell all the good things happening, and when our life as we know it is coming to an end. Some friends become so close to you, that you think of them as part of your family, as like a brother or a sister. And the day that you loose one, is a day that you feel as though you have lost a family member, and a close personal friend. That is howI felt the day that I lost one of my buddies over in the Big Sand Box (Military term for the Middle East). He is the second on on your right. His name is Cpl Thomas Blair. He died on the front line, fightin for his country. That is the way that he wanted to go. All four of the guys in this pic (at the time of it) are marines. These are my "brothers". While we where all together, we would go everywhere together, and we always seemed to have fun. But on Nov, 2002 we lost one of us.
These are my friends, my family, my heros
